The Kindergarten students at Pembroke Village School have been working hard these past 3 months! Thanksgiving break gave me the opportunity to reflect on the time I've spent getting to know these vibrant, unique, and creative young learners. I am so thankful to see them each week in the art room and watch them grow.
For the past couple of months we have been working on using line and shape to build our pictures. Kindergarten students have used pencil, colored pencil, marker, watercolor, and oil pastel so far this year. Most recently, we made portraits using our oil pastels and I was completely blown away by the results!
The first batch of artwork will be going home around the holidays (where is the school year going!?) so be looking out for some beautiful pieces made by talented kindergarten students! They are proud of their work, as they should be.
